The clues to five boxes I planted out west in September, including
knocking off NV, are now on-line. There is a narrative you have to
wade through to pick out the starting points
(http://www.mapsurfer.com/boxes/box18a.html), sort of like letterboxes
on a trail except its a roadtrip. The boxes are on the easy side
for the most part, but are associated with some absolutely delightful
scenery.
The individual boxes are:
Nez Perce Trail (OR *) (http://www.mapsurfer.com/boxes/box18.html)
Cornucopia Mountain (OR *) (http://www.mapsurfer.com/boxes/box19.html)
Strawberry Mountain (OR **) (http://www.mapsurfer.com/boxes/box20.html)
Steens Mountain (OR *) (http://www.mapsurfer.com/boxes/box21.html)
Black Rock Desert (NV ***) (http://www.mapsurfer.com/boxes/box22.html)
All known mapsurfer boxes are at http://www.mapsurfer.com/boxes/index.html
Happy hunting...

Bob, I'm so psyched that you found the Freestone! I've been afraid that
it was a little to weird, or esoteric, or whatever, not being our usual
step-by-step kind of cluesheet. And along those lines, I'm happy to say
that Woods Ledge and Double Image are looking good and both quite a
treat!
Now about this gathering thing. Do we have a weekend in mind after all
that polling? I think I have two good Inn/campground combos to talk
over with you and Sarah. It's never to early to get things set up.
