I'm just wondering if others have added ICQ chat besides the
people who follow:
Shannon - TX
Mitch - OR
Daniel - MN
Thom - OR
Tom - VT
Adrian - UK
Nisa - NH
I'm still hoping for a scheduled chat, but would want it to be
available to as many people as possible. For those of you who
have not heard you can download ICQ by clicking on Christopher
Robin's right boot on the Kids Corner page at
http://www.pclink.com/elf/kidscorn.htm
ICQ allows a live chat (not verbal, you have to type, but its
fun to do if you haven't tried it.)

FYI
There is now a chat room at the egroups archive page. See
http://www.egroups.com/list/letterbox-usa/
Click the blue menu option that says "chat" to activate it.
Of course I'd think you'd want to coordinate a
chat first. The thing I found the first time we did
a chat (using ICQ) is that it can be confusing, esp. if
you're not accustomed to electronic chats. But it might
be fun to try this one. It answers a couple of major
issues. For one, not everyone has ICQ nor can everyone
even run it on their computer. For another thing, it
answers the problem of the porn-talk evident at the
other chat area that a few of us looked at a while back.
Egroups is fairly strict about language and content, so
I don't think we would have to worry even if kids
use this service.
