I called to my Folks (Der Mad Mutter und Vater) tonight. They got all the
photos back today from my letterboxing adventures with Little Foot... said
they'll be sending them my way shortly.

Meanwhile, Mohmers sent me some great photos of a trip they took to
Edwardsville, Illinois. They took all the kids in the neighborhood along for
a letterboxing adventure. Looks like they all had fun!! The photos have
been added to the Letterboxing Kids Photo Album:

Is there a way that I can read the posts at the web site as opposed to having them sent here?

I'm trying to upload some pics of our Mid-MO Spring LB Gathering
yesterday, but it keeps telling me I'm over my quota. I've never put
pics up before, so I'm confused. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I'm assuming you're trying to put them up on Yahoo Groups? Each group
allows a maximum of 30 megabytes, I think it is, for their photos and
files. The only way to make room for more is to take some existing
photos off (or at least shrink them so they don't take up so much space).

Yep, I'm trying to post them here at yahoo. I can't even get to the
pics now, just get a Group_Error. It appears that the capacity is
shared by everyone who posts pics, since I've posted non and it says
my capacity is at 95%. Is there some other way/place to share pics
easily?
Thanks for the help.

Yep, it's the quota for the board, not individuals. The only way
around it is to find someone who can take off old or unnecessary
photos, or at least shrink the size of larger ones.

If you have your own website, it might be easier to post them there
and just provide a link for everyone else to use. That'll get your
around the Yahoo Groups limitiation. You could also try
http://photos.yahoo.com if you'd rather not make up your own website.

Shrinking both size and resolution before submitting
a picture would go a long way to freeing up space.
There's no reason that anything in the photo files
needs to be any more than 72 dpi resolution. A lot
of folks don't realize that pictures viewed in a web
browser need not be high rez. Funhog

Please adjust your resolution and you photo size before uploading. The
photos that you have uploaded are taking up over 900kb of space each.
Most of the photos people post are smaller and a touch poorer quality.
You should be able to remove the pictures you already posted, edit
them, and have enough room for about 15 more once you re-size them.

I'll also mention this to czeltic girl as she had taken on the dauting
task of resizing many of the photos already found in that section. We
had a moderator-type discussion of how to free up some space and we
decided that removing all the photos might not be our best move as some
*might* contain clues, etc.

Also -- if everyone else can review the photos section and consider
removing any old/out dated prints that you have posted, that would help
too!

Thanks for the help. Obviously I'm not the most computer savey
person, but i thought folks would enjoy seeing a few pictures from
Missouri's first LB Gathering.
I'll try your suggestions for a couple more pictures and get a write
up on the boards sometime mid-week.
Thanks again!

I posted a whole bunch a month ago. I'll go through and delete most of them. So if anybody wants to get a look at the cabin fever event, better hurry!
