Hi Everyone,
It seems a similar thing has happened to me as
happened to Tom Cooch. I received an empty email from
bikenutct with the subject Questionnaire. I did not
send this. How can this be avoided?
Lisa

Alot of Blank E-Mail you get using the (User Group) format, May have a Virus. Any time you get a Blank E-Mail with a File attached (Ending with .exe) or a file about 110 to 150K Is more or less a virus.
I am not saying they ALL are BUT you do have those few Buttmunches out there that get their kicks off of sending viruses.
Any time you get a file, Make sure you know the person that it's from.

Hi Lisa,
Best thing to do is buy an anti-virus program - McAfee, or Norton, or
TrendMicro all make them. Then, make sure you set it up to automatically
get updated virus signature files weekly - or even more often. Finally, as
coolwan said, if you get an e-mail w/attachment that you weren't expecting -
don't open it! Call or e-mail the person that sent it (if you know them)
and ask if they sent the e-mail w/attachment. If not, delete the e-mail and
move on.

They can also be sent unknowingly by people who don't realize they have the
virus. Our entire company got a virus because a trusted architect who
regularly sends us files attached to email did not know they had it. We
didn't find out we had it and were passing it to others until I sent some files
to my home to work on and the virus protection on my home system found it.
We learned the hard way that we should have kept the virus software
upgraded.
