I sent an email to you a few days ago and got no response. That's the
reason i joined this group. The email was in concern of trash being
left around where the letterboxes are located. Cans, bottles, fast food
wrappers and snack wrappers. I have found quite a few of these
letterboxes not by going to your website and obtaining clues but by
picking up the trash left behind. I have spoken to local authorities
about this and was told to bring the letterboxes to them if trash is
continually found in the areas. I am in no way opposed to you hiding
these boxes but please take with you whatever you have carried in!

Hummm,,, Well, I don't know about the lazy letterboxer, BUT, from
the letter they posted, I kind of had the thought that maybe this was

When I first read it, it made me wonder what creative excuses the person
might give the cops when they're caught shoplifting.

the trash left behind i will leave you further clues as to where to
find them. Local sheriffs offices or park rangers. I'm sure it's a
fun little game you all are playing but i for one am tired of finding
your trash left in the woods. I am dead serious about this. It's up

I'm assuming this has been dealt with on other forums, but just in case it
hasn't, the trash you may or may not be finding in areas that there are
letterboxes is NOT left by letterboxers. Letterboxers for the most part are
conscientious people that do more than their share of cleaning up the woods,
not trashing it. Unfortunately, some of the hiding places that are excellent
for letterboxes are also excellent places for teenagers and other hoodlums
to hang out with their friends and picnic or get drunk. I've found numerous
places that were great when the box was planted but later were found to be
homeless camps or locations of drunken orgies. The two are not necessarily
connected.
