Dear Investigator Bacon,

Tabloids or newspapers, soap operas or
documentaries, which do you prefer, Investigator
Bacon? Is it sensationalism or justice that interests
you? Sensationalism is a written word, justice is a
way of life.

Have you not a tender notion somewhere under your
facade? Do you not realize the fate of society is in
your hands? The importance of this quest cannot be
underestimated.

As the vacation months approach, letterboxers
will be on the trails, in the cities, and riding the
roadways of this country. Letterboxes will not be safe
unless the Store of Good Manners is returned to its
rightful place.

Never has the time for haste been more urgent as
it is today. The need is great indeed if the history
and future of letterboxing in America are to survive.

Kindly remember that it is letterboxing in
danger, not some mundane game of golf.
