they stay where it is legal. I believe most of the "problem" ATVers
are kids whose parents bought them then don't pay attention to them
anymore. Education is Key One (TreadLightly), and having someplace
legal to ride is Key Two. Having ATV/dirtbike legal areas won't
remove all illegal riders, but it gives them no excuses, and I think
parents need to be held responsible for underage riders.
I also see horses on trails which they aren't allowed on, and lots of
dogs off-lead which should not be (only the very well-trained should
get away with that, where its not posted). One time, I met a couple
with a staffordshire terrier on the trail and the pooch took off
after a deer. They said "Oh, he'll come back when he's tired out." No
regard for wildlife at all. That's just wrong.
