Gray Reservation Letterbox
Placed by Holly Abnet and Heather Bruce on August 17, 2001
Sudbury, Massachusetts Middlesex County
Clues: Your first job is to find your way to the Gray Reservation, in
Sudbury, a 52-acre property owned by Sudbury Valley Trustees, a regional
land trust working to protect the wildlife habitat and ecological integrity
of in the watershed of the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord Rivers. To learn
more about SVT, please visit our web site at www.sudburyvalleytrustees.org
. The clues begin at the trailhead
parking lot located at the corner of Hudson and Old Lancaster Road. Start
out on the paved trail at the parking lot that parallels Old Lancaster Road.
Continue on over the bridge. In the "S" curves, take the trail to the right
heading deeper into the property - if you see mailbox #406 you have gone too
far. At the fork in the trail, take a left. Continue on, staying to the
right. When you come to the 'camel humps', be sure to enjoy the view.
Continue along the trail and again, stay to the right. You will soon hear
the trickle of water. Go over the small bridge and continue on the trail -
keeping an eye out for the old chimney (a great place for a picnic!).
Against the chimney, on the right hand side, you will find your treasure.
You may now enjoy the rest of this conservation property and the surrounding
conservation land.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to seek out the boxes that the Dynamic Duo has placed for the mystery gathering.
