spamgaurd

Is there a way to disble the spamgaurd thing? In my opinion, it adds
way to much garbage to the email.

I'm not really sure what it is, or does. With many troubling vira going around, I've been deleting anything with [spam] in the front just out of caution. No offense to the posters, if they're legit messages!

I'm having baked beans, spam, spam, spam and sausages and spam!

It hasn't caught anything as far as I can tell - it's looking for spam,
not virus attachments, anyway. All it's done in this case is label a
lot of my letterboxing mail as spam. I don't know what the problem is -
I belong to a bunch of yahoogroups and my letterboxing messages are the
only ones being affected......

Can I have egg, sausage, bacon, and spam, without the spam? (Anyone
else ever wonder why she didn't order the first option, which had no
spam? hmmmmmmm, lol)

PSto Melanie(maiden) - can you contact me offlist? Things have been
utterly crazy and I'm afraid I dropped the ball over at GB......and now
i cna't log on at all

A couple of days ago I started getting many of the LBNA posts in my Yahoo bulk identified as spam. Maybe they did some upgrade as a result of the My Doom worm? By the way, we prefer spam, spam, spam and eggs. With our viking friends of course!

Hi, Daniel! Unfortunately, SpamGuard is uneditable by the moderators
and is required across all the yahoo platforms. I think the level of
bulk mail and sexy ads has almost been elimitated on this list, but
if you're getting stuff marked as spam from this group in your aol
account, you might try stopping the individual mail and using either
the daily digest or "read on the web only." Go to

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/letterbox-usa/join

to change your yahoogroup options.

I've noticed that aol itself has gone crazy with [spam] headings
since their own new upgrade. That's easy to fix if you're using v8
or 9: use keyword spam to go to your "custom word list" and
enter "[spam]" as one of the headings you hate. Poof, you'll never
get another mail aol has tagged as spam.

FYI, SpamGuard *is* editable -- the group admin can turn off or adjust the
SpamGuard settings in Management > Messages. I suggest that it be turned
off for this group, since the spam problem hasn't been bad for this list.

The funny thing about spamguard is that Yahoo finds email coming from
yahoo.com as spam!

ps. So far every single message marked as spam has passed the Symantec
AntiVirus Scan Engine my email provider uses.
