He goes up he goes down
Despite the clues he goes round and round
This must be a joke, he's just a pawn
By gosh its under the rock he's on

Here are two pages with wav on them... the first page's waves are not so clear
http://www.stoutman.com/wavs/montypython/python2.asp

The second has a zip file you can download that give you 3 samples of various parts of the song, but you'll catch the tune pretty quick

We need more verses!

He searches left, he searches right
He searches high and low
He'll search in logs or under rocks
Or 2 feet deep in snow!

Oh.....

He's a letterboxer and he's ok
He carves all night and he hikes all day
His mouth his dry and his feet are damp,
But he'll trek through hell to find a rubber stamp!!

May I join in?

With snowshoes, cross country skis or boots,
They will hunt through storms to find their loot,
With compass, backpack, logbook too,
They cannot think of much else to do
But hunt for those elusive boxes.

LOL you guys are awesome! I think I see the beginnings of a
letterboxer's anthem here. What's the tune?

Sounds like it's to the tune of "I'm a lumberjack" by Monty Python to me.

Indeed, I received a message from Bindle Babe telling me that's what
is was.. but I must admit, I'm not a big Monty Python fan and thus
completely unfamiliar with it. Besides heading off to Blockbuster to
rent the darn thing, is there another place to hear it?
