ideas?

From: irishtinker (irishtinker@earthlink.net) | Date: 2003-03-07 15:43:10 UTC-05:00
This is a bit off the subject but I am looking for some creative ideas and
thought who better to turn to than the creative letterboxing minds on this
list.

I am having a guest from Italy and want to put together a gift basket New
Englandish stuff mainly Northeastern, Connecticut.

I thought maybe
a Yankee Candle
a bottle of Ballet of the Angels (brewed in Pomfret, CT)
some maple syrup candy (although I am not sure where to get it around here -
suggestions?)

Any other ideas????

Hebron CT will be having it's maple sugar festival soon. Not sure of the date.CT Maple syrup in small containers can be purchased at the General store in Mansfield Center. It will say somewhere on it that it is made in Mansfield. You can also get candles as good as yankee candle, down the road on the right just past the starting point of my Elliott Station starting point in Pomfret. She makes them in her home. There are signs outside of the house......Chuck and Molly

A friend of mine made one for me when she was visiting from New Orleans. She filled it with regional foods and trinkets. How about a can of some good Clam Chowder? If you can find one- a copy of Yankee Magazine. A map of the state. Any other regional foods you can think of.  irishtinker <irishtinker@earthlink.net> wrote:
