It has been my experience that markers "bead up" on the stamp when
there is a large area to be inked. I think they have more surface
tension than stamp pad ink.

And, in some cases, yes I do know what brand ink some boxers are
using... Phyto and Solor & Binx use Marvy Markers often. Camera Obscura
often uses Marvy Markers, but sometimes a pigment ink pad...
